AIM

AIM is a youth organisation placed in Rome created by a group of young trainers. It works in the field of exchanging competences among young pleople and between young people and elderly generations, building bridges between formal and non formal education methodologies.

AIM works in partnerships with the Italian Educational Ministry, the national network of schools “Educare all'Europa”, the Italian Representative of EU Parliament and Commission for whom we facilitate the activities within “Spazio Europa” (www.spazioeuropa.eu), and with many regional educational offices in Italy.

The main training fields are: key competences development, intercultural learning, participation and active citizenship, European citizenship, social inclusion of minorities, human rights, lifelong learning, creativity and innovation, inter-generational dialogue, environmental education and MDGs, global education.

AIM mission is the development, implementation and recognition of non formal education towards formal institutions; to enhance youth mobility for intercultural exchanges, share good practices and work together with other international organisations on common projects, as a fondamental support for the full development of Key Competences in young people.

AIM is organised in 4 Areas:

  • training;

  • communication;

  • laboratories;

  • international.

All activities are fully implemented by young people who volunteers in the association sharing their competences during their free time.

This generates a multiplying effect of ideas, participation, projects and activities at local and international level.

The training area has developed an important link with schools implementing extra-curricular learning activities, within the frame of the European policies on education and learning contextualized to the local realities.

At international level, we are open create partnerships to participate in international activities, in order to improve young people skills and in the mean time share their competences in the frame of non-formal education, through training courses and youth exchanges.
